[00:00:00] Speaker A: WVUA FM tuscaloosa. [00:00:10] Speaker B: It's the morning show. Good morning. [00:00:12] Speaker C: Good morning, Richard. [00:00:14] Speaker D: Good morning. Teenage Tuscaloosa. [00:00:17] Speaker B: Yeah. Happy November, everybody. And although Spooky season is over, we'd like to start off today with a very special weekly watch because I believe that we have all seen the Five Nights of Freddy's movie. [00:00:30] Speaker D: I know FNAF at Freddy's. It's finally here. [00:00:33] Speaker B: I, like, half watched it at a party, but from what I saw, I enjoyed it. I really liked how the credits had the Living Tombstone song at the end. [00:00:41] Speaker D: Like, the fan song. [00:00:42] Speaker C: I saw it at the theater. The theater. Welcome to theater. [00:00:46] Speaker B: You see it day one? [00:00:47] Speaker C: No, I saw it Sunday. [00:00:48] Speaker D: I saw it Friday night. And so instead of going to a theater and spending the money I figured I spent that money I would have spent on ticket. Went to the Standard, got a pizza, brought it home, heated my dorm, turned the lights off, watched me and my girlfriend just eaten pizza. We're watching FNAF Nights at Fredy's. [00:01:06] Speaker B: Yeah. Man, that's sick. Yeah, it's on. [00:01:08] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:01:09] Speaker B: Didn't they release it on, like, peacock? [00:01:10] Speaker D: On peacock. [00:01:11] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:01:13] Speaker D: And I don't really use it the subscription, so I'm, like, finally using my peacock. [00:01:19] Speaker B: Yeah, you could use it just to watch Five Nights at Fredy's. What do we all think of it? [00:01:23] Speaker C: I thought it was I thoroughly enjoyed it. [00:01:25] Speaker D: It was quite fun. It was quite good. [00:01:27] Speaker C: Had many chuckles. It was very funny. I went and saw it with my Theater Honor Society mentor and her roommate and my dear mentor. Whenever she'd get spooked, she'd start singing the under her breath. It was hilarious. [00:01:50] Speaker D: That's really funny. [00:01:53] Speaker B: God. [00:01:53] Speaker D: Well, the movie is just really good because it's a movie that's been in production, heck for, like, I think, six or seven years. I think longer than that. I think it's been, like, ten years. I think the movie rights required in 13. [00:02:07] Speaker B: Good for them on making it out of production heck. You love to see that. [00:02:11] Speaker C: I thoroughly enjoyed William Afton's character. [00:02:13] Speaker D: I just wish he was in more of it. It feels like there's a gap between when the animatronics are shown to be not the bad guys and then when. [00:02:22] Speaker C: William spoil it for people. Yeah. What if our listeners don't nerve their Five Nights at Fredie's? Lore. [00:02:30] Speaker B: Yeah, true. What if they're going in wrong? [00:02:32] Speaker D: Can we just have a Lore session? [00:02:34] Speaker C: Sorry. This is actually the entire show is. [00:02:36] Speaker D: Going to be there was a missing children's incident back in 1980. Now, the one that you see Markiplier saying bite of 87 is IRM. Actually, the bite of 83. [00:02:56] Speaker C: You tell him, Andy. [00:02:57] Speaker E: Hello? [00:03:00] Speaker D: Hey, it's me, the phone guy. [00:03:02] Speaker B: I forget the other lines. Good. A little quirky at night. Yeah, I saw, like, ten minutes of it. [00:03:10] Speaker C: It was what it and there was. [00:03:11] Speaker B: Some to be there was some fun. There was some wild acting. [00:03:15] Speaker C: I'll just no, there was some phenomenal acting. And that it was phenomenal for what this movie was going to be and what it needed to be. [00:03:22] Speaker D: Phenomenal acting. [00:03:22] Speaker C: It is objectively not good, but it is objectively perfect for that movie. [00:03:29] Speaker B: I can agree with that. [00:03:30] Speaker D: Yeah, they looked amazing. They leaned the animatronics looked great. Like real practical. Even the cupcake, which got more action than it has in any of the games. [00:03:42] Speaker C: Oh, no. Cupcake went crazy. [00:03:44] Speaker D: Cupcake, a little ankle biter. [00:03:46] Speaker B: Yeah. Well, five nights of Friday's movie was interesting, to say the least. It was a very fun Halloween watch. We've got a few songs queued up for you. We'll be back in just a minute. [00:04:07] Speaker A: WVUA FM Tuscaloosa. [00:04:23] Speaker B: One of my favorites. Got it backwards. Well, on this fine morning, as I was walking to the station, I realized, dang, it's too dang cold. If only I had. [00:04:59] Speaker D: 36 degrees with a high of 56 and a low of 34. Expect sunny skies all day. All right, let's see. The feels like temperature out there is 30 degrees, so make sure you bundle up extra nice today. The wind's blown about 8 miles an hour, so it'll be that's where that little chill is coming from. View of participation. Participation, precipitation. [00:05:27] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:05:27] Speaker D: Expect it to be cold all day, folks. [00:05:31] Speaker B: Thank you for the weather report. So whether the weather is good or bad, we've always got something to make you glad on 90.7 the capstone. Christian, can you give us our positive affirmation for the day? [00:05:42] Speaker C: It's sort of weather related today, dear listeners. I know as someone who's been struggling with it recently, and I'm having debates of can I miss a class to go to the student health center because I'm sick? And I've had many friends say it's hard to get an appointment right now because everyone has sinus infections. So today the affirmation is this if I need to go see a doctor, be it at student health center, at a doctor's or anything for any issue, I'm going to successfully get an appointment and I'm going to have a good experience at the doctor's office, and I'm going to come out with a clean bill of health. So that is my affirmation for y'all today, dear listeners. As always, stay gold, pony boy. [00:06:30] Speaker B: Thank you, christian, that was beautiful. [00:06:31] Speaker D: That was a nice under the Weather report. [00:06:34] Speaker C: Oh, that was good. Underwear report. [00:06:36] Speaker B: Under the weather. So, Andrew, is it supposed to warm up today? Because I'm really hoping. [00:06:45] Speaker D: The high is 56, and that's not happening until like, your one two. All right, basically from about one to six, it'll be in the mid fifty s. And then after the start of sun starts coming down, it's going to be back here. [00:06:58] Speaker B: Man, I got to start wearing like, triple layers, man. [00:07:01] Speaker C: Yeah, I got to go find my scarf. [00:07:04] Speaker B: Well, thanks for tuning in for the weather Report. We'll be back in just 1 second with more morning show action. Here's microwave with leather natty. [00:07:23] Speaker A: WVUA FM tuscaloosa. [00:07:33] Speaker D: That was Leather Daddy with microwave. This is the Morning Show, and we're back with some of your favorite segments. And I think we're going to take it in with your current favorite segment, Gopher Watch. [00:07:48] Speaker B: Oh, man, I love those gophers. I keep watching them. I don't think I've never seen a gopher. [00:07:54] Speaker C: Here we have bad news. [00:07:55] Speaker B: I don't think I've ever seen a gopher. [00:07:56] Speaker D: I haven't seen a gopher since the one day we have a theory. [00:08:00] Speaker C: We have a theory. It's just a game theory. [00:08:04] Speaker D: The feral hogs that live on Bryce lawn that we all know and love and occasionally kill me and Richard, they tore him apart. Never killed. [00:08:12] Speaker C: Oh, yeah. Tore us apart. Well, timber. [00:08:15] Speaker D: Twice. Twice dismembered. Never killed. [00:08:18] Speaker B: True. [00:08:18] Speaker D: Anyway, we think that they're going around and eating the gophers or gopher. Who knows? Maybe I saw the last one. [00:08:25] Speaker C: Maybe. So gophers have gone extinct, apparently. [00:08:28] Speaker B: Are we going to have to get rid of Gopher Watch, then? [00:08:30] Speaker D: Well, never lose hope on our theorem. [00:08:33] Speaker C: And also on this current, the feral hog cris. [00:08:36] Speaker D: Now, it might turn in more of a feral hog watch, but in the meantime, since you deserve little critter content, here on the 90.7 Morning Show, we're bringing your favorite segment, Duck Watch. [00:08:48] Speaker B: Oh, boy. I don't think I've seen any ducks this week. [00:08:53] Speaker C: I love ducks. [00:08:56] Speaker D: Goaded mallards of all variety. [00:08:59] Speaker B: Lakeside ducks. [00:09:00] Speaker D: No, there are lakeside ducks. There's about four of them. [00:09:04] Speaker C: See, back in my day, last year, back in our day, Richard in Blunt. [00:09:08] Speaker B: What was the name of the duck? [00:09:09] Speaker C: There was a duck named Tim, and then randomly in the second semester, a girl duck showed up with him, and I called her Girl Tim. Rare. It was Tim and girl. Tim. And they loved each other very much, and they were like a beloved family. [00:09:21] Speaker B: Yeah, me and my sister, we used to have stuffed animals, and I named my stuffed bear Pete, which is a weird name for a bear. Pete a bear. But my sister named her bear Girl Pete. [00:09:35] Speaker C: Pete and girl pete. Tim and girl. Tim. [00:09:37] Speaker B: Yeah. There you go. [00:09:39] Speaker D: Most original sibling in the Duck watch. So I see the ducks walking, because usually when I'm walking from Ridgecrest to Lakeside, I just walk past the dorms. I go take the sidewalk. But I was walking there with my girlfriend, I think, on Thursday. And we took the route where you go down the stairs, past the lake and then back up the hill. [00:10:01] Speaker C: Yeah, classic. [00:10:02] Speaker D: Yeah, it's more fun that way. And we see the ducks, and they let me get up close. I get to pet pet one of them, and then it bites my hand a little bit, but it's not like I'm biting you. It was like, just back off. Very gentle bite. And then so we leave. We come back. I got a bunch of peas from the dining hall, and they loved the peas. [00:10:20] Speaker C: Oh, yeah. No, ducks love peas. [00:10:21] Speaker D: And that was so amazing. Like, feeding them all. And then the same duck accidentally bit my leg while going for a pea that was falling. But no, it was fine. He didn't mean it. He wasn't putting a lot of force behind it. But then this fourth duck comes out of nowhere and I try to feed it's, not having it, and it bites my hand harder than bites my ankle. Little ankle biter. Yeah, it was Kika's cupcake looking. [00:10:44] Speaker C: Yeah, it's very cupcake esque. [00:10:47] Speaker D: That was fun. It was a fun experience. I've never been bit by a duck before. But then yesterday the ducks came up as far up as Ridgecrest South. They were in the area between all the RidgeCrests. They were just walking across the road and people are kind of in their cars and slowing down. They were holding up traffic. And I'm like, Ducks, just get out of the way. So I kind of chase them away. Get away from the road. So I saw the ducks on Halloween. So there's a picture of Anakin Skywalker posing in front of some ducks. [00:11:14] Speaker B: Oh, yeah, halloween. What was everyone's Halloween costume last night? [00:11:18] Speaker C: I was a pizza. [00:11:20] Speaker B: Very nice. [00:11:22] Speaker C: A pepperoni. [00:11:24] Speaker B: Hey, forget about it. So what were you, Andrew? [00:11:30] Speaker D: I was, like I said, with the ducks, I was Anakin Skywalker Reeves costume from last year. But it's a pretty nice costume. Getting a lot of compliments. [00:11:38] Speaker B: Well, that works. You got, like, the hair and everything. [00:11:40] Speaker D: People asking to take photos with me. I said one person said, I loved your cosplay, not your costume. When someone calls your costume a cosplay, that means that you're on the next level. [00:11:49] Speaker B: Yeah, I was the dude from The Big Lebowski. [00:11:54] Speaker C: He abides. [00:11:55] Speaker B: Yeah. I had, like, a sweater on and like a white T shirt and, like, some pajamas. Kind of like how I'm dressed dress right now. [00:12:03] Speaker C: Except instead of a sweater, you have, like, a hoodie. [00:12:06] Speaker B: Yeah. So it was very comfortable all day. It was very nice. [00:12:12] Speaker C: I should have done that. [00:12:13] Speaker B: And all of the guys got the reference and every single girl was like, what are you? And I'm like, I'm the dude. El duderino. If you're not into the whole brevity thing, that's just, like, their opinion, man. Yeah. Well, happy Halloween, everybody. I hope you all had a great Halloween call in. Tell us about your costumes. Please call in 205-348-9070. [00:12:40] Speaker C: We now understand how the phone line works. [00:12:42] Speaker D: Two oh five. Hopefully we'll be this time nine, seven. [00:12:46] Speaker B: Oh, yeah, give us a call. But in the meantime, we'll put on some music for you here's. The Brower sisters. BA it's cutting off it's noise. Give it a listen. [00:13:03] Speaker A: Yvua. FM, Tuscaloosa. [00:13:17] Speaker B: St. Paul and the Broken. With all I ever wonder on 90.7 the capstone. It's November 1, the day after Halloween. [00:13:25] Speaker D: Spooky season is officially over, typically when November 1 happens. [00:13:29] Speaker C: Indeed. They call it All Hallows Eve. A reason. Because today's All Hollows Day. [00:13:33] Speaker B: All Saints Day. Wow. All the saints. Also, it's my dad's birthday. [00:13:39] Speaker D: Richard Allen Jenkins the second. [00:13:42] Speaker B: The second. I'm the third. Yeah. So happy birthday, dad. I know you're not listening. You don't live here, but, yeah. Happy birthday to him. Any other special days today? [00:13:51] Speaker D: Hi, Richard. Oh, any other special know all sensei is pretty good, especially in, you know we've also got Spanish Holiday that made it to America. We got Mexico. We got Day of the Dead. All right. Like today, tomorrow. You know it's coco Core and Book of Know. [00:14:11] Speaker B: True. True. Hey, book of life. Book of life. I know they've got a pretty good cover of an awesome radiohead song on there a radiohead song that just so happens to be on our radio playlist. I think we ought to give it a listen. Here's. [00:14:25] Speaker A: Radiohead with Creepm Tuscaloosa. [00:14:43] Speaker B: What a great song. You know and creep creepy. It's like Halloween, even though it's not really Halloween, because that was yesterday, of course. Yeah, exactly. If it's the time. Well, I'm a big fan of Creep with Radiohead, but I got to say, not my favorite 90s alternative band. For that, I'm going to have to go with Christian Weezer Wednesday. [00:15:06] Speaker C: Yeah, he loves it. [00:15:08] Speaker B: Happy weezer Wednesday. [00:15:10] Speaker D: You know, my teacher wore a Wednesday costume yesterday. [00:15:12] Speaker C: That's fire, actually. [00:15:14] Speaker B: Did she sing any weezer? [00:15:15] Speaker D: Well, it was Tuesday, so apparently she didn't know that Wednesday is for Weezer. [00:15:21] Speaker B: Do you know where the name Weezer comes that? Well, not just that. It comes from it was a nickname given to lead man Rivers Cuomo as a child because he suffered from asthma. [00:15:40] Speaker C: He's just like me, for real, getting. [00:15:41] Speaker B: Teased by his friends. But he turned it around and he turned it into a pretty awesome band. [00:15:47] Speaker C: Phenomenal. [00:15:48] Speaker D: There's also Wheezy from Toy Story, too. But after he gets a new squeaker, he sings and he sings that amazing song. [00:15:54] Speaker C: There's also Wheezy Jefferson from yeah, they. [00:15:58] Speaker B: Kind of copied Weezer at that point because when did that come out? Like 99, right? [00:16:02] Speaker C: Yeah, weezer. Weezer was weezer did it first. [00:16:04] Speaker B: Mid 90s. [00:16:05] Speaker D: They're the OGS inspiration to us all. [00:16:07] Speaker C: Indeed. [00:16:08] Speaker B: Mid 90s weezer is peak Weezer, in my opinion. I'm a big fan of Pinkerton. Here's something off of pinkerton. Across the sea girl gang with the star on 90.7 the capstone chilly, chilly. [00:16:39] Speaker E: Morning so it's time for the weather report. Weather report. Weather report. Weather report. Weather report. Weather report. Weather report. Weather report. The weather report. Weather report. Weather report. Weather report. Weather report. Weather report. Weather report. [00:17:01] Speaker D: All right, Tuscaloosa, at 38 degrees, with. [00:17:04] Speaker B: A high of 56 and a low. [00:17:05] Speaker D: Of 33, expect to see sunny skies all day. Right now, the feels like it's 31 degrees. The wind's making it feel a little colder. [00:17:13] Speaker B: Thank you, Andrew. [00:17:14] Speaker C: You know, now, whether the weather is good or bad, you've always got something. [00:17:19] Speaker E: To make you glad on that after the weather report. Weather report. Weather report. Weather report. Weather report. Weather report. Weather report. Weather report. Weather report. Weather report. Weather report. Weather. [00:17:40] Speaker B: So whether the weather is good. [00:17:42] Speaker C: Or bad, we always do have something. [00:17:45] Speaker B: I think we have a positive news story of the day. [00:17:49] Speaker D: I'm going to tell you about the most normal conservation effort in Ohio. So now an abandoned Ohio golf course was turned into a public land public park. Instead of it being a bunch of fake kept grass and sand traps and lakes, now it's beautiful natural grass and trees and lakes, and they're bringing wildlife in and wild plants in. And now it's got the Ohio skivity Riz. Now? [00:18:18] Speaker B: Only in Ohio. [00:18:20] Speaker D: Only in Ohio. [00:18:22] Speaker B: Well, if it's in Ohio, that's going to be like it's going to be taken over with evil and pollution like the river. I know you're catching on fire. [00:18:34] Speaker C: Any lakes are going to have oil. [00:18:35] Speaker D: Spilled into them and immediately I know, you know, it's going to be uncanny, but I think it's going to be incredible. [00:18:42] Speaker B: That's good to hear. That's good to hear. [00:18:44] Speaker C: Uncanny Valley. More like the Uncanny Ohio Park. [00:18:47] Speaker B: Well, we like to keep our viewers informed on the morning show. We've been talking about the news, but we're going to talk about our favorite place, the Crimson White, where we get all our news and views. Let's see, what do we got? We have an SGA recap coming in from the Crimson White. So we've had some amendments sent to committee, blah, blah, blah. Oh, here we go. We're going to be recognizing student orgs, using the SGA's Instagram account, good for the student orgs and a bill to clarify the powers of the first year council. A few bureaucratic things. [00:19:23] Speaker C: Also, this is good for our viewers. Speaking of the SGA, another Crimson White story I think that needs to be touched on. The SGA has announced special elections to fill four open Senate seats. One seat for the College of Education and one for the School of Law as well. [00:19:43] Speaker B: Interesting. Well, that's some good news. [00:19:48] Speaker C: And two graduates, sorry, two graduate ones as well. So graduate students, law students and education students be on the lookout for election day on November 29. [00:19:56] Speaker B: Yes. Thank you, Christian. We like to keep our viewers informed here on 90.7 the Capstone. And we'll be back in just a minute with more amazing news, this time maybe in the sports variety. We'll see you in just 1 second. [00:20:18] Speaker A: WVUA FM tuscaloosa. [00:20:28] Speaker C: That was Season of the Witch by Donovan. Now, you know, as y'all can hear, this is running. Now, speaking of running, you know who got a lot of runs last night? [00:20:39] Speaker D: Oh, my. [00:20:41] Speaker C: Got the Rangers and the diamond. [00:20:43] Speaker B: Oh yeah. That game was crazy. Yeah. How are we feeling about the World Series, boys? [00:20:50] Speaker C: I think it's going to be Rangers gentlemen sweep. [00:20:52] Speaker D: I think so because I'm from the Dallas area. They're my local team. They're my default setting team and I've always stuck with them. I was a little kid last time I was in the World Series. I don't even remember any 2011, but I know they didn't win. Right. So now they're chasing the W's. They're back, I think in the postseason. I'm pretty sure they're undefeated on the road. That's what, like nine games at this point, which is insane. And they're playing in Arizona again, so they're ripe and ready to go. The ODS are on their side and they're away. They were already the favorite to win. So even if they don't win today, they're taking it back to Texas. They're in a really good spot, but the Rangers are going to be the Rangers. And I'm used to Dallas teams disappointing me. [00:21:39] Speaker C: True. [00:21:40] Speaker D: But it's the most genuine ray of hope we've had know, the Cowboys showed off their Super Bowl defense that can't do anything. [00:21:49] Speaker B: Just so you know, everybody, I hate the Cowboys. I'm a huge Commanders fan, so I suck it commanders. [00:21:57] Speaker D: As soon as the Commanders got their name, washington commies was trending on Twitter. [00:22:03] Speaker B: Well, look, I love calling them the Commies. I think it's know, it's fun. [00:22:07] Speaker D: Are you now or have you ever been a member of the Communist Party? We're going to Blacklist Richard live on air. [00:22:15] Speaker B: Well, speaking of so true. [00:22:16] Speaker C: And then Richard will have to do this. [00:22:18] Speaker B: Do what? [00:22:19] Speaker C: To get off the air. [00:22:21] Speaker B: Me running off the air. Running past the feral hogs back know. [00:22:25] Speaker D: But there's sports on campus, too, believe it or not. [00:22:27] Speaker C: Allegedly. [00:22:28] Speaker B: Oh, allegedly. There's this little team called the University of Alabama Crimson moving up this week. We're number eight ranked now. [00:22:37] Speaker D: We didn't do anything and we didn't. [00:22:39] Speaker C: The CFP poll drop last night. [00:22:41] Speaker B: Oh, is this the official one? [00:22:42] Speaker C: I think it might. [00:22:43] Speaker B: Christian, while you get that pulled up, let's hype up the LSU game a bit. [00:22:47] Speaker D: It was Nick Saban's birthday yesterday. [00:22:49] Speaker B: Happy belated birthday. [00:22:50] Speaker C: Hit him. [00:22:51] Speaker D: The birthday w. Exactly. This is an important game for us. [00:22:56] Speaker B: Birthday surprise. [00:22:57] Speaker D: They took it down to the wire. LSU got it last year. [00:23:01] Speaker B: They're not getting it again. It's a revenge game. [00:23:03] Speaker D: Yeah, this is a revenge game. Like Tennessee. All right, if we play like second half Tennessee, we're going far. [00:23:08] Speaker B: We're going to be winning, man. We're going all the way, I think to the CFP. [00:23:14] Speaker C: Yeah, I'm smelling a playoff appearance. Nary, I say I might be smelling a natty. But let me tell you all Alabama, Georgia, Natty, alabama is also number eight in the College Football Playoff ranking. [00:23:27] Speaker B: All right, I'll take that along with the AP poll. [00:23:30] Speaker C: I don't know about the coaches top ten. [00:23:31] Speaker B: That's good. Who's number one right now? [00:23:35] Speaker C: Number one, let me check. I'll give you your preliminary College Football Playoff right now. Ohio State at one, georgia two, michigan at three, florida State at number four. Washington a close number five. [00:23:46] Speaker B: Thank you. Thank you for now putting Georgia number one college Football Playoff AP poll is just being stupid. [00:23:52] Speaker C: So true. Associated. [00:23:53] Speaker B: Why was Georgia number one for so dang long? [00:23:56] Speaker C: Indeed. Make it end. [00:23:57] Speaker B: I don't know. I don't get it. The reign of terror has ended, I guess. [00:24:01] Speaker C: Yeah. The curb meister no longer rules, apparently. [00:24:04] Speaker B: So happy birthday, Nick. LSU game. You guys on the watch for Big. [00:24:13] Speaker E: Al? [00:24:14] Speaker D: I have a Big Al watch. [00:24:16] Speaker C: You have a big owl. [00:24:16] Speaker D: Oh, your favorite segment. Big al Watts. [00:24:18] Speaker C: Yeah. Do you have any photos to put up to the microphone? [00:24:21] Speaker D: I do have some photos to put up to the microphone. So I've got a lot of mileage out of my Anakin Skywalker costume. It's very nice. Don't be real dropped. [00:24:31] Speaker B: Don't be real and drive. If you're listening right now, please don't. [00:24:34] Speaker D: So Big Al wore an Elvis costume at a function I was at. I was in Anakin Sky. [00:24:39] Speaker B: That's amazing. [00:24:40] Speaker D: Pulling up the picture. And so I don't know if he was good in trying to be late Elvis, fat Elvis, or if he was just normal Elvis and he did the fat part himself. But we love that he's big. Big Al. [00:24:53] Speaker B: Well, I have some sad news. I betrayed Big Al this week. [00:24:58] Speaker D: No. [00:24:59] Speaker C: Oh, no. [00:24:59] Speaker B: Richard I went to the University of North Carolina over the weekend to visit. [00:25:03] Speaker D: My sister, but that's not so bad. Tell him what you did to a basketball game. [00:25:07] Speaker B: And I was dressed up in all of my UNC gear all at once. [00:25:11] Speaker D: Okay, while we're still on the topic, I'm putting this photo up to the microphone so you can he's holding up a number one. Number one in a North Carolina jersey with the North Carolina mascot. [00:25:22] Speaker B: His name is Ramses, by the way. [00:25:24] Speaker D: I don't care. [00:25:25] Speaker C: We don't care. He's not Big Al. [00:25:27] Speaker B: Look, he's a very cool guy, all right? And I'm glad I got the picture. [00:25:31] Speaker D: What's his name again? [00:25:31] Speaker B: Ramses. [00:25:32] Speaker D: Ramses. [00:25:32] Speaker B: Ramses. Yeah. [00:25:33] Speaker D: Man. Is that the name of the pharaoh from Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat? [00:25:38] Speaker C: It is. [00:25:38] Speaker D: Aka Elvis Ramsay's the second aka Elvis aka Big Al. [00:25:44] Speaker B: Connection. [00:25:45] Speaker C: True. [00:25:45] Speaker B: Oh, it's all connected. [00:25:46] Speaker C: The evil Pharaoh from Hit. Cecil B. DeMille film The Ten Commandments, I believe. [00:25:50] Speaker B: Yeah. And the Prince of Egypt and the. [00:25:52] Speaker C: Prince of deliver us from this land. Yeah. [00:25:56] Speaker D: So Big Al was like, so big Al. There was an event, and there was mostly kids there. It was like Smith Hall. And so Big Al is doing his thing. But Big Al seemed, like, really excited to see me. Either he knows me at this point, or he just really likes Skywalker. And so either way, because Big L was, like, hanging with the kids. But Big L, he wasn't like, oh, I'm excited to see you. To everyone, it felt like, particularly to me, Big Al made me feel special. [00:26:22] Speaker B: Like, he always you guys have a special relationship. [00:26:25] Speaker C: They do. [00:26:26] Speaker D: Connection with big out. You're kind of two timing with I. [00:26:31] Speaker B: Just I was in to I had to do something with know I love the mascots. What can I say? [00:26:38] Speaker D: Well, say it was a one time thing. [00:26:40] Speaker B: It was a one time thing. Big Al. Well, we'll be back to you in just a second. Here's the Smashing Pumpkins. [00:26:54] Speaker A: WVUA FM Tuscaloosa. [00:27:04] Speaker B: Phantogram with Bill Murray on 90.7 the Capstone. It's the morning show, right? Happy Wednesday, everybody. [00:27:12] Speaker C: Pip, pip. Cheerio. [00:27:14] Speaker B: So now that it is no longer the Halloween season, many people like to look at this and claim that this is now officially Christmas season. What are our opinions on that? [00:27:25] Speaker C: So here's my thing. It's Thanksgiving. But it's not Christmas. And Thanksgiving overlap. November the first starts Christmas, but it's a Ven diagram inside the Christmas circle. Thanksgiving is, like, two weeks. [00:27:37] Speaker B: I'm going to disagree with that. [00:27:39] Speaker D: The way I see it is it started, but, you know, it's, like, exponentially increasing. So for the most of November, it starts off very slow. Maybe you can start buying decorations. Maybe if you start, you can start looking for decorations, maybe buying some stuff. You can start buying your decorations, but maybe you're not putting them up yet. [00:27:56] Speaker B: So on November 1, you get, like, one Christmasy thing that you get to do, right? Yeah. Okay, well, it's November 1, but it's also Weezer Wednesday. [00:28:06] Speaker D: No, you already played the Weezer. [00:28:10] Speaker B: All right, look, if you don't want to be here for Weezer Wednesday, then you're fired. [00:28:15] Speaker D: You can't fire me, orchard. I quit. [00:28:20] Speaker B: Good riddance. [00:28:21] Speaker C: Bye bye. [00:28:22] Speaker B: Well, now that it is Weezer Wednesday and we are without Andrew because he quit, let's hope he didn't get torn. [00:28:30] Speaker C: Apart by Wild Hog. [00:28:31] Speaker B: I kind of hope he does, because he doesn't respect Weezer. [00:28:33] Speaker C: No, honestly, that's true. But also, Weezer teaches their followers to be merciful and hope the best for their enemies. [00:28:43] Speaker B: Yeah, all right, whatever. So it's Christmas. It's weezer Wednesday. Did you know that Weezer released a cover of the Christmas the Christmas Song? The Christmas Christmas song. [00:28:55] Speaker C: The Christmas Song as a bonus track. [00:28:57] Speaker B: On the Green album. [00:28:59] Speaker D: How about that? [00:29:01] Speaker B: We got it coming up for you on this fine November 1, Weezer Wednesday. We'll be back in just a second. [00:29:14] Speaker A: WVUA FM tuscaloosa. [00:29:24] Speaker B: What a great song there by Weezer Man. I thought that was a cover of the Christmas Song. Yeah, they made their own Christmas. Good for Weezer. Well, you may be noticing we've got a lot of awesome music. If you've been for all those big, like, crimson white fans out there, you've probably been noticing that every day there seems to be the same sort of songs playing all the time. Well, I'm proud to announce that we have fixed fixed our issue. We have had new music. And let me tell you, it was getting a little old in the station too. So I'm just as happy as all of you. Dear listeners. Phenomenal. [00:30:01] Speaker C: We're happy as a clam about. [00:30:02] Speaker B: Yes, yes. [00:30:03] Speaker C: Dear listeners, dear viewers, for those who can see the photographs we put up to the microphone. [00:30:09] Speaker B: So, Mr. Martin, are there any events going on around campus that you think. [00:30:13] Speaker C: Yes, in fact, something related to music. [00:30:16] Speaker B: Oh, really? [00:30:17] Speaker C: In fact, Richard, can you see if we have anything from Rocky? We might even be looking for a song from this. We don't know if we have anything or not, but anyway, yes. So you might hear more about this during my host story next week. I'm going to see The Rocky Horror Show tonight, and it's very exciting. So it's playing till, I believe, the fifth. Not on the fourth. It's playing through the third and the fifth or not playing. They're doing there because it's a play. It's not a movie. That's The Rocky Horror Picture Show anyway. But they're doing a production of The Rocky Horror Show, I believe seven or 731 or the other. You said it's going to be a really good time. [00:30:55] Speaker B: I'm thoroughly excited tonight, 2nd, third and fifth. [00:30:58] Speaker C: Tonight, 2nd, third and fifth. [00:31:00] Speaker B: All right, 07:00. [00:31:02] Speaker C: I'll check my ticket and see when it is for you all. [00:31:04] Speaker B: Actually very exciting. And that's the one with the famous film starring the wonderful Tim Curry, right? [00:31:10] Speaker C: Yeah, it's the original stage production. Fun fact, though, he was in both the stage production and the film that came out a year later. [00:31:17] Speaker B: Spectacular. And it's going to be like the midnight screenings. Are we going to be throwing, like oh, yeah. [00:31:22] Speaker C: No, it's going to be interactive. Still, even though it's a stage thing, you still throw the popcorn. You still yell the things. [00:31:26] Speaker B: Awesome. [00:31:27] Speaker C: So that's a fun thing going on around campus. [00:31:30] Speaker B: Very cool. Very cool. Christian. [00:31:32] Speaker C: Well, yeah, it is at 730, not at 7730. Remember that. [00:31:38] Speaker B: Lot of awesome things going on. [00:31:40] Speaker C: We love the arts. [00:31:41] Speaker B: We have the arts. We have the sports. [00:31:44] Speaker C: We have the televisions. The game days. [00:31:48] Speaker B: Oh, yeah, game day. [00:31:49] Speaker C: College football. [00:31:50] Speaker B: You going to game day? [00:31:51] Speaker C: I'm going to go to game day. I'm going to try my daughter. [00:31:53] Speaker B: How are you going to do it? [00:31:54] Speaker C: I might just wake up. I might camp out. We have yet to see. [00:31:58] Speaker B: Oh, man, it's just too dang cold. I'd need like a all right. [00:32:02] Speaker C: I need a space heater. [00:32:03] Speaker B: Space heater. [00:32:03] Speaker C: I'm debating purchasing a space heater for us. [00:32:05] Speaker B: I think that could be a very good purchase in the it could be lucrative. Quite lucrative, yes. [00:32:10] Speaker C: Prestigious, maybe. [00:32:12] Speaker B: Very prestigious. Well, that is some awesome stuff going on around campus. And we'll be back in a little while. We got some more music for you. Stay tuned to 90.7 the capstone. The Morning Show, I'm afraid, is coming to a close a little early right now. I think Christian, something's come up for him. So he can't be in the studio right now. And I guess we'll just cut it off right now. But thanks for listening in. It's been. A good show. You all have a good morning and a good rest of your day. Thanks for listening. 90.7 the capstone here's transistor with number one sound. [00:33:16] Speaker C: Yada. [00:33:18] Speaker A: You W-V-U-A-F-M tuscaloosa.
