[00:00:00] Speaker A: WVUA FM. Tuscaloosa. [00:00:18] Speaker B: Good morning. [00:00:19] Speaker C: Tuscaloosa, good morning. Hey, Andrew. Where's Christian this morning? [00:00:24] Speaker B: You know, it's so sad that someone can be late to the morning show over something so simple as a pack of feral hogs. Oh, if you haven't noticed, Richard's back together. We taped him back together with flex tape. [00:00:37] Speaker C: That's right. [00:00:38] Speaker B: And the arms are the correct way. [00:00:40] Speaker C: This feral hogs, man, they couldn't keep me down forever. So keep Christian down. [00:00:45] Speaker B: Maybe Christian's in the middle. Christian's in the middle of dealing with them. As everyone knows, on campus, there's a pack of feral hogs that live on Bryce lawn that rip apart everything. There used to be bountiful crop there used to be a bountiful crop on Bryce lawn, and now the hogs have all but done away with it. [00:01:05] Speaker C: They've ruined everything. Well, Andrew, on this fine morning, I think that we have a very special Big Al watch. [00:01:12] Speaker B: We do have a special big owl watch. It's your favorite segment, big Al watch. And any of you guys that were at the Arkansas game would know that Big Al was dripped out. [00:01:23] Speaker C: I think he had something like four. [00:01:24] Speaker B: Different costumes, at least four different costumes. We had the classic course, you know, the nice red shirt, like, you see him around canvas. That's what he's wearing. Go to. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. But then when they're doing the homecoming stuff, he's the king. First, it made me realize, wait, we don't even have a homecoming king. [00:01:40] Speaker C: That could be a thing. Well, Big Al should be. [00:01:42] Speaker B: But then as soon as I saw that Big Al was the king, I'm like, oh, it's no contest. Big Al is our king. He slays. [00:01:49] Speaker C: He was just strutting around there with his king hat. And that man, he had the cook. The cook was good. [00:01:55] Speaker B: Big Al was cooking. Someone said, let him cook. And he understood the know. [00:02:01] Speaker C: I was right there, right where Big Al was, like, in the front of the stadium. Got on the jumbotron a few times, too. [00:02:07] Speaker B: Dude, I have the picture for all you listening. I'm showing the picture to the microphone, so if you listen really hard, you can see it. [00:02:14] Speaker C: Yeah, there's me on the jumbotron with Big Al. Look at that. But when he was doing his cooking stuff, he had his plate with his bowl and his dish and stuff, and he put the plate on my friend's head. [00:02:28] Speaker B: Okay, that's really funny. [00:02:31] Speaker C: He was serving food. Oh, he could serve. He was serving to my friend Luke Anderson wow. Who may or may not be coming to visit us a little later on. He is one of the radio hosts, after all, in the I will say. [00:02:45] Speaker B: All the time I think about every game, big Al stands on one of those little concrete pillars between the fences. I never see him get up there. I always look, and he's just up there. [00:02:53] Speaker C: He was on my concrete pillar. [00:02:55] Speaker B: Hey, that was amazing. [00:02:55] Speaker C: I had to hoist him up. [00:02:57] Speaker B: I can't assume Big Al is the most agile or of I have a lot of respect for Big Al for standing on that thing. [00:03:06] Speaker C: Well, when he was trying to come down, we tried to get him to crowd surf on our side, but they wouldn't let him do it. His handlers, they were no, because they're. [00:03:13] Speaker B: On the other side, they didn't even really keep an eye on him, but they let him crowd surf all the way up the lower bowl that one time. That was amazing. And then the fourth outfit, his classic kind of fourth quarter, ten, end of the game white outfit, which it's a very simple one. It looks nice. It looks very cozy. I think by the end of the game, everyone's tired. He's slipped into something more comfortable. He just wants to finish the game. And I wish I could see him on campus more with the white. [00:03:37] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:03:38] Speaker C: Unfortunately, the fourth quarter of football was not the most comfortable quarter there. [00:03:42] Speaker B: No, I think maybe Big Al got a little too comfortable. [00:03:45] Speaker C: Yeah, maybe the whole team did, now that I think of it. [00:03:48] Speaker B: But we're onto something here, I think. [00:03:51] Speaker C: All right, well, Tennessee week, we'll be playing them next Saturday. Hopefully Big Al will have a nice costume then. But that's all we've got for you for right now. So here's. Certainly so with golden State. [00:04:04] Speaker D: Enjoy. [00:04:16] Speaker A: W V UA FM tuscaloosawave with. [00:04:34] Speaker C: Past life on 90.7 the Capstone. It's the Morning show. [00:04:38] Speaker D: Yes, it is. [00:04:40] Speaker C: Andrew, do you know what time it is? [00:04:43] Speaker B: It is 817, which means it's time for. [00:04:51] Speaker E: Weather Report. Weather Report. Weather Report. Weather Report. Weather Report. Weather report. Weather report. Weather Report. Do not distort the weather report. Weather report. Weather report. Weather Report. Weather report. Weather report. Weather Report. [00:05:09] Speaker C: Chris andrew, what is the weather? [00:05:11] Speaker B: I'm Andrew. All right, it's 47 degrees in Tuscaloosa with a high of 74 and a low of 45. Expect to see that sun all day. Air quality is 42, which is nice and good, and the feels like is 49 degrees and expect no precipitation, but 86% humidity. [00:05:32] Speaker C: All right, thank you, Andrew, on the weather report. [00:05:38] Speaker E: Weather report. Weather report. Weather report. Weather report. Weather report. Weather report. Weather report. [00:05:46] Speaker C: Man, that's some beautiful weather. But whether the weather is good or bad, we've always got something to make you glad on 90.7 the Capstone. Andrew, do you have our positive news story of the day? [00:05:55] Speaker B: Yes, I do. So we all know the best dog breed. It's those funny little wiener dogs that always just trotting along. [00:06:03] Speaker C: Oh, they're so cute. [00:06:04] Speaker B: And I always forget how to say I always say duchess hund, which I know is wrong. [00:06:08] Speaker C: Dachshund. [00:06:09] Speaker B: I know it's dachshund because the ch every duchess. But anyways, so another story from England. I know, boo. But just because the English people are irrelevant doesn't mean the dogs have to be true. And there was this dachshund, this Duchess hund, as I'd like to say, gave birth to eleven puppies. [00:06:32] Speaker C: Eleven. [00:06:32] Speaker B: And people are thinking it might be some kind of record. Now usually there's only about one baby with as many as six, kind of a one to six, but this is like double the typical high number. Wow. And once again, I'm holding a picture up to the microphone. So listen really well. But you can see eleven beautiful baby Duchess huns right into the screen. [00:06:58] Speaker C: I got to see this. Hang on. [00:06:59] Speaker B: Yeah, the right picture. [00:07:02] Speaker D: Yeah. No, yeah. [00:07:02] Speaker B: These are the pups four weeks old. [00:07:04] Speaker C: How do you fit eleven puppies inside of like one dachshund? [00:07:08] Speaker B: Those things are like dachshunds aren't very big. Sometimes they can be fairly big, but that kind of goes to show that that means the babies right, when they're born aren't that big. Like a baby dog when they're born. It's pretty small. But eleven of them, I'm sure it was a lot. [00:07:24] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:07:24] Speaker C: But it's going to be weighing down the mother. [00:07:26] Speaker B: As far as it's known, everyone's fine. And I'm sure that mom is tired, but her health's okay. [00:07:37] Speaker C: Yeah. She's got eleven healthy babies. [00:07:39] Speaker B: Yeah. This was a natural occurrence, so let's hope that she's naturally prepared for it. [00:07:44] Speaker C: Well, we all know that on the morning show we'd like to celebrate the day and we have a few very interesting holidays that have come up today. First of all, it is national kind day. [00:07:55] Speaker B: That's right. [00:07:56] Speaker C: We just want to remind all of our viewers that you are. [00:08:01] Speaker B: Is that's an affirmation that goes out every time? Every time I wake up. Ever since that fateful night when I saw the Barbie movie, I've always been, canuff, always will be. [00:08:14] Speaker C: Oh, and I heard that you had a pumpkin contest. [00:08:18] Speaker B: That's right, the dining hall pumpkin contest. [00:08:22] Speaker C: He's there. [00:08:23] Speaker B: I entered a pumpkin and every single entry there is really good. There's some amazing there's some really funny ones, some really great Alabama ones, and some great ones that are just like Halloween aesthetic. Every pumpkin in there is great. And I feel like mine was a great one, too. I made the one that's the Roblox man face, but not in the weird kind of in an ironic way because I'm like, I need something I can do really quickly because I had to bring in the pumpkin on Monday and I thought I could bring it in later. So I had to do something really quickly. I had to scrap everything I was going to do. [00:08:54] Speaker C: It's the one where he's doing like. [00:08:56] Speaker B: The smile inside his face. He's a chad. So first I make him and I'm pretty proud of it, and then I have to name it. So at first I was going to name it like, oh, me for real or beauty standards or something like that. But then on the way there, I realize I have the perfect thing so I put it down. I have to write down his name. And I write can you feel the stupid. Well, stupid he's adorable. Chad roblox face. The man face. And can you feel the kenergy? And the voting has started and I hope I'm doing well. And we'll find out on I voted for Friday. [00:09:37] Speaker C: Well, I hope all of our viewers can feel the kenergy today. Are there any more special days? [00:09:42] Speaker B: There are a lot of special days. It is everyone's heartthrob. Zac efron's birthday. [00:09:47] Speaker C: Very cool. Very cool. Also, I've heard it's Chuck Berry's birthday. [00:09:51] Speaker B: Now, in terms for someone with actual musical talent, chuck Berry, it's his birthday. [00:09:55] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:09:55] Speaker B: And we have some nice happy birthday, Chuck Berry music to play for y'all today. [00:10:01] Speaker C: Yes, sir. Here's Chuck Berry's. Johnny be good right now on the morning show. Man, no way they ranked UNC above Alabama. That's crazy, man. [00:10:39] Speaker B: They really did. [00:10:40] Speaker C: I really hate that because my sister goes there and that's like difficult. But when we beat Tennessee, they're going to know that we still got it. [00:10:51] Speaker B: And we better see UNC flop. Maybe Oregon flop a little. We need some of these high top ten teams to do bad and for us to do good because it's so political. I'm not talking at the start of the season, alabama is always put towards the top because they're just going to assume that they're good. But then once Alabama has a tiny slip up, they don't want them in the top ten anymore. [00:11:15] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:11:15] Speaker B: It's like, man, I'm hoping this year we get pretty high up there and get a good bowl. [00:11:23] Speaker C: We're winning the SEC championship. And when we win the SEC championship, they got to put us in the know. [00:11:29] Speaker B: Exactly. [00:11:30] Speaker C: We're the SEC champions. Right. [00:11:32] Speaker B: Because I know I'd love to see Alabama play Notre Dame again. And I'll tell you why. Because both my parents went to wasn't really I didn't really care about college football when they played in the actual NCAA championship. And the amazing hurdle that I love that clip of so I've always been I was a Notre dame fan for 18 years before coming to Alabama, but I wasn't really invested in college football. So now I want them to play again. Or it's a shame that Oklahoma be. [00:12:05] Speaker C: On the right team. [00:12:05] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:12:05] Speaker B: And shame that Oklahoma state isn't good this year because that's where my sister is an alumni of. So Alabama, Oklahoma State would be know. So now I'm getting to the point where it's more about seeing these teams go together in big bowl yeah. [00:12:21] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:12:21] Speaker B: Than it is no, but I want Alabama to go as far as they can. Of course that's of course. [00:12:26] Speaker C: Of course. [00:12:27] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:12:28] Speaker C: Well, happy Tennessee hate week. Anybody? Everybody? Now, what was do we have anything else for this segment? [00:12:37] Speaker D: No. [00:12:38] Speaker B: Tennessee hate week and go for watch. [00:12:41] Speaker C: Well, we'll be back in a little while with a very special segment, one that may be our actual favorite. Not gopher watch. No offense. Well, my favorite person I know the viewers love Gopher Watch. [00:12:54] Speaker B: The viewers won't stand for this. [00:12:56] Speaker C: Yeah, sorry viewers. Anyway. Here's mama with rockstar. We'll be back in just a minute. [00:13:13] Speaker A: WVUA FM tuscaloosa. [00:13:33] Speaker B: I know it's Weezer Wednesday. Every we just play one weezer song for Weezer Wednesday. [00:13:36] Speaker C: We played two. Any more out of you? If you are not celebrating Weezer Wednesday in 15 seconds, then I'm going to send you back out to the wild hogs, all right? You're going to Bryce lawn and you're going to get torn apart by Hogs, all right? [00:13:49] Speaker B: You wouldn't. [00:13:51] Speaker C: I will. Hey, do you know what day it is? It's Weezer. Come on, say it. Say it with me. [00:13:57] Speaker B: It's weezer Wednesday. [00:13:58] Speaker C: Weezer Wednesday. Yeah. Today on Weezer Wednesday, we have pulled up for you. That's right. This is very interesting. The hexadecimal values of every single color of the Weezer albums. So for the Blue album, it is pound one eight nine BCC or Strong Blue. It's a shade of cyan. For the Green album, it's Pound becc 41. For red EA. Two, one three a white f three f three f three teal two BBC, BB and black. Zero D. Zero D. Zero D. Isn't that fascinating? [00:14:42] Speaker F: Yes. [00:14:43] Speaker C: Happy weezer Wednesday, everybody. [00:14:45] Speaker B: Happy weezer Wednesday. [00:14:46] Speaker C: It's time for a Blue album classic buddy Holly Japanese Breakfast with B Sweet on 90.7 the capstone. It's the Morning show. Andrew. [00:15:22] Speaker B: All right, well, we're here with Movie. [00:15:25] Speaker C: Watch and the Weekly Watch, if you will. [00:15:28] Speaker B: The weekly movie. [00:15:29] Speaker D: Watch. [00:15:30] Speaker F: The weekly watch. [00:15:31] Speaker B: Sorry, I mean, it's not everyone's favorite segment like Gopher Watch, so forgive me for getting it well, but I understand it's a classic. [00:15:38] Speaker D: Anyway. [00:15:38] Speaker C: Hoodle, what have you been thinking of seeing this week? [00:15:41] Speaker B: I said before that girlfriend had tried to get tickets for Taylor Swift, like the eras movie thing, but it was going to be in Birmingham. But no, it came to Tuscaloosa to our surprise. So I got the tickets for it. And so I'm really looking forward to going. We're going to go this weekend. Hopefully it's to celebrate Tennessee being actually destroyed on the field and being have to be scooped off. [00:16:04] Speaker C: Let's hope so. [00:16:04] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:16:05] Speaker C: So you said you're seeing it this weekend? [00:16:07] Speaker B: Yeah, this weekend I'm going to see Taylor Swift the Heiress tour movie. It's like 3 hours. [00:16:13] Speaker C: That's crazy. [00:16:14] Speaker B: But thankfully, unless everyone in theater gets crazy, I should be able to sit and watch. [00:16:18] Speaker C: Yeah, well, that's like an exclusive event, right? Like, I didn't even know it was coming. [00:16:21] Speaker B: Exclusive event. [00:16:22] Speaker C: Exclusive event. What are you going to watch? I'm thinking of seeing the new scorsese movie Killers of the Flower Moon with Leo DiCaprio and Todd from Bad. So this is Tod from break. I don't know the actual actor's name, but it looks like it'll be very good. Scorsese does not disappoint. [00:16:41] Speaker B: It's Leo. It's scorsese. All right. They've been making movies together since Leo was young enough to date himself. So I'm expecting to see some good stuff. [00:16:51] Speaker C: It's going to be some good stuff. I'll tell you if it's any good. But what about any horror movies? As you know, it is the spooky season. [00:16:59] Speaker B: Well, maybe not a horror movie, but certainly in the Halloween vibe. Watch The Corpse Bride. It had been a while since I'd seen it and I'm like just thinking of it in terms of comparing it to, like, Nightmare Before Christmas because I know they get compared a lot even though they're similar. Really pretty different. The animation is a lot cleaner on Corpse Bride, but I will say the songs are just not as good as Nightmare Before Christmas. [00:17:25] Speaker C: That's true. They got some good songs. I heard you were singing some of it last week. [00:17:29] Speaker B: I was. For all you guys who were there. You remember my beautiful voice singing the opening to this is Halloween. [00:17:35] Speaker C: Well, let's see somebody's watching me queued up for this week. [00:17:40] Speaker D: That's a good one. [00:17:40] Speaker C: Spooky season. Yeah. I feel like Michael Jackson really carries that song with the it always feels. [00:17:46] Speaker F: Like somebody's watching me. [00:17:50] Speaker C: I Got No Like It's by Rockwell, but really it's all about Michael Jackson. [00:17:58] Speaker B: Everything at the end of the day is about Michael Jackson. [00:18:01] Speaker C: All right, well, let's hear it here's. Somebody's watching me. By Rockwell Tuscaloosaide Well, Christian is back here on 90.7 the capstone. So, Christian, tell us the harrowing tale of how you managed to fend off all those wild hogs this fine morning. [00:18:44] Speaker F: Yes. No, I was I was in a fight with the hogs. In fact, I did not cease from mental fight with these hogs, nor did my sword sleep in my hand. I had my bow of burning gold, my arrows of desire, my spear, oh, clouds unfold, and my chariot of fire. And let me tell you, I definitely am not just paraphrasing William Blake's poem Jerusalem right now, no one accuses me ridiculous. I would never do that on air. Well, it was a real battle with the hogs, but just like Alabama, it was close, but we came out on top. [00:19:20] Speaker D: Exactly. [00:19:21] Speaker B: That's right. [00:19:22] Speaker C: Well, Christian, congratulations on beating the hogs just as Alabama did this fine weekend. [00:19:28] Speaker F: I'm glad that you've been resurrected from the hog attack that we managed to like Scotch tape. [00:19:33] Speaker B: Well, if Scotch tape wasn't working, I had to flex tape him. [00:19:35] Speaker F: I had to flex tape him. [00:19:36] Speaker C: Yeah, I got to hand it to you guys for that one. Thank you so much. I'm so glad that I'm not dead anymore, you guys, really. [00:19:42] Speaker B: He has most of his vital organs back. [00:19:44] Speaker F: I think his fine motor skills are slightly impaired, but it's fine. Don't ask him to operate any motor, any big machine. [00:19:51] Speaker B: Your spleen might be in the wrong place, like a radio board. Listeners, where is your spleen? We don't know. [00:19:59] Speaker D: We're not sure. [00:20:00] Speaker B: No, please call in two. [00:20:02] Speaker D: Oh, five. [00:20:02] Speaker F: You read that, Richard? [00:20:04] Speaker C: 205-348-9070, if you know where the Spleen is, please call. [00:20:09] Speaker B: If you can tell us where the Spleen is, we will let you play a song if it's in our power. [00:20:14] Speaker C: All right, we can also just do. [00:20:16] Speaker F: That without you telling us a spleen, but it'd be nice if you could please tell us where this call in. [00:20:20] Speaker B: Give your best guess where the spleen is. Right or wrong, we'll play you a song. [00:20:24] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:20:24] Speaker C: That's 205-348-9070 on the morning show. That's the weather report for this morning. We'll be back in just a second. [00:20:44] Speaker A: W v uafm. Tuscaloosa. [00:20:49] Speaker D: You. [00:20:58] Speaker B: That was secondhand sound with Domino's. Welcome back to The Morning Show and to your favorite segment, creaky door impression. [00:21:17] Speaker C: Riveting content here on the 90.7, the Morning Show. Oh, we just lost, like, half of our viewers there. [00:21:25] Speaker B: They split them in half. [00:21:27] Speaker C: Well, that's too bad, because they're about to miss one of my favorite segments, the Crimson White news story of the day, where we get all our news and views. Christian, what's new today? [00:21:36] Speaker F: This was written by Alex Gravely, a staff writer for The Crimson White. It'sga highlights. So, first off, a resolution to explore UA counseling center scholarships in which limited need based scholarships to cover the fees at the counseling center was passed as submitted by Senator Eleanor Israel, along with another bill submitted by Eleanor Israel, which is a resolution encouraging the expansion of Gluten sensitive options on campus to fresh food company. [00:22:00] Speaker C: Wow. [00:22:01] Speaker F: There was also an act recognized in student organizations on SGA's Instagram page, which was sent to committee along with another thing sent to committee, which is a bill clarifying powers of the First Year council. [00:22:11] Speaker C: Well, that is a great week there for Ms. Eleanor Israel and for our Student Government Association. [00:22:16] Speaker B: We love. [00:22:17] Speaker C: Very true. Very true. [00:22:18] Speaker B: They do so much for us. [00:22:19] Speaker C: Well, another great week has happened for an Alabama program. Our hockey team has finally won a game. Yeah. [00:22:28] Speaker D: We love you. I Hockey. [00:22:29] Speaker C: Thursday night they played Wake Forest, and they won nine to four. This is from a story by Courtney Laramore, staff writer of The Crimson White. And, yeah, the Frozen Tide finally managed to pull it off. And Greg Simmons got a hat trick. Jacob Harrison, his first college win, and Bryce Dunnigan having his first win as a goaltender. Big news for the big news. [00:22:51] Speaker F: And Luke Anderson announced his first ever win this season. [00:22:55] Speaker C: Oh, yes, mr. Luke Anderson, the host of the student section MLB Show. [00:23:01] Speaker F: Indeed. [00:23:01] Speaker C: He was the announcer for that very game. He told me to come. I did not go, though. [00:23:07] Speaker F: I've not been to a single one. He's invited me to. Sadly, I gotta go out. [00:23:11] Speaker C: That was a busy night. [00:23:12] Speaker F: I've been busy. So sad. I'm always busy during the hockey game. [00:23:16] Speaker C: Sad news because we love UA hockey. [00:23:18] Speaker B: Who are they playing next? [00:23:19] Speaker C: UA hockey. Let me check. Let me check the schedule. I do believe. [00:23:24] Speaker F: Well, while we wait, your newest, favorite. [00:23:27] Speaker B: Segment, big Owl Watch, part two. [00:23:30] Speaker F: Big owl watch part two. I'm going to put up. [00:23:32] Speaker B: Oh, yeah. [00:23:33] Speaker C: Because Christian, while we wait, christian, you have a Big Al Watch story, don't you? [00:23:39] Speaker B: Why don't you? [00:23:40] Speaker F: I'm going to put this picture up to the microphone so y'all can explain. [00:23:43] Speaker B: What it's a photo of for those who are hard of seeing. [00:23:45] Speaker F: Okay, well, it's me and my friend Dre. Nick and Big Al and my friend wetnick and then drynick's roommate Vlad. And we're at the Di passport event, and I have a snow cone. And we're taking a picture with Big Al. [00:23:59] Speaker B: He's so cute. [00:24:00] Speaker F: He is so cute. And he loves diversity, equity, and inclusion, just like we all do. We all love diversity, equity, and inclusion here. [00:24:05] Speaker C: Well, yay. So that hockey game back to you there, October 20, this Friday, we'll be playing the University of Illinois. Illinois. Sorry. The Fighting Illinois, I believe. [00:24:17] Speaker F: Alinae. Illinois. [00:24:18] Speaker B: Alinae. [00:24:19] Speaker C: Yeah, whatever. Yeah, I mispronounced champagne. [00:24:21] Speaker D: Illinois. [00:24:22] Speaker B: Let's hope that a lot of people get down there and make some Illinois to help support the frozen tub real. [00:24:28] Speaker C: Hopefully, maybe I'll be out there. You never know if Big Al's there, I might go. [00:24:33] Speaker F: That's awesome. [00:24:34] Speaker C: That's true. [00:24:34] Speaker D: Learn notes. [00:24:35] Speaker B: He'll be warm. [00:24:36] Speaker F: True. [00:24:37] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:24:37] Speaker C: So you saw Big Al this week? Christian, were you at the game this weekend? [00:24:40] Speaker F: I was, yes. [00:24:41] Speaker C: Oh, very nice. [00:24:42] Speaker F: King Al. [00:24:42] Speaker C: Did you run into Big Al there? [00:24:44] Speaker F: I sadly didn't run into King. Yeah. [00:24:46] Speaker C: Where were you sitting? [00:24:47] Speaker F: Lower bowl. I was sitting in the block. [00:24:50] Speaker B: I was in the block for your frat. [00:24:53] Speaker D: That. [00:24:54] Speaker F: And then I sat in the Theater Honor Society block. [00:24:56] Speaker B: Okay. I always get the honors. [00:24:59] Speaker F: HCA. [00:25:00] Speaker B: That's the best one. [00:25:01] Speaker F: It is the best. [00:25:02] Speaker B: At least one of the best ones. Front row. So for every game, except for because I'm freshman, I only have the package that had the first game of the season. Then LSU, Tennessee, so I'll be upper bowl this weekend and for LSU. But then I've been buying a ticket every game, and I always buy lower bowl. [00:25:20] Speaker C: Oh, yeah. [00:25:22] Speaker F: If you're going to invest in a ticket, you got to get lower bowl. [00:25:25] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:25:25] Speaker B: Especially since people try to at a certain point, people will try to sell their tickets for like, twice as much as what they're on in student seats and that kind of stuff. People are delusional. [00:25:38] Speaker F: That's true. Some people will pay it anyway. [00:25:40] Speaker C: Well, you guys know me. I'm always down there at the front line. [00:25:43] Speaker D: That's true. [00:25:43] Speaker F: I need to try doing that sometimes. [00:25:45] Speaker C: Big Al and all the cheer. [00:25:46] Speaker B: You just need to have a lower bowl ticket, and then you can stand by the fence if you want. [00:25:49] Speaker C: Yeah. And you can get on the Jumbo train. [00:25:55] Speaker F: I've never been on the Jumbotron. You're on the Jumbotron like, six times a game. [00:25:57] Speaker B: I got to get I'm kind of thinking because it's Tennessee, I'll say I'll probably up there, and I don't want to pay for another. But Chattanooga. Will you guys be in town for Chattanooga? [00:26:07] Speaker F: Of course. I'll be in town for every single home game. [00:26:09] Speaker B: I mean, you can't miss the game. [00:26:10] Speaker C: I forgot to buy a ticket package, so I'm kind of like 50. [00:26:14] Speaker F: Very affordable. [00:26:15] Speaker B: It's going to be affordable. And we can all be down there on the front lines. [00:26:18] Speaker C: When's the Chattanooga game? [00:26:20] Speaker F: I don't remember. [00:26:21] Speaker B: It's our last home game. [00:26:22] Speaker D: Okay. [00:26:23] Speaker F: Yeah, that's right. [00:26:23] Speaker C: Yeah, I'll try. [00:26:24] Speaker B: So it's the last home game. [00:26:25] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:26:26] Speaker B: Besides, if we can all get a. [00:26:27] Speaker C: Photo with Leave early that week, it'll. [00:26:29] Speaker F: Be the greatest big owl botch we've. [00:26:30] Speaker B: Ever the greatest big owlbot we can. [00:26:33] Speaker C: Show everybody the picture on air. It'll be great. [00:26:36] Speaker B: Yeah, and I'll make sure it gets posted as a yeah, they can totally. [00:26:39] Speaker F: See it through the radio. [00:26:40] Speaker B: Yeah, no, they'll be able to see that one. Okay, for all of you driving, take a look at what we're showing you through the audio. [00:26:49] Speaker C: Well, speaking of audio, we got a new song coming up for you. Well, not actually new. We've played this one a lot, but it's Eyes of the World by The Strokes. We'll be back in just a minute. [00:27:27] Speaker F: That was Boys a Liar Part Two by Pink Panthers featuring Ice Spice on the morning show. [00:27:35] Speaker C: That's right, baby. 90.7 the Capstone, the morning show. So Andrew is no longer with us. We sent him out because he doesn't really appreciate this next segment, Weezer Wednesday. That's right. It's weezer Wednesday yet again. So Christian was not here for the last Weezer Wednesday segment, where we played three. [00:28:00] Speaker F: I'm fighting my hogs, though. Don't worry. [00:28:02] Speaker C: Yeah, I hope those three Weezer songs really helped to motivate you as you played. [00:28:05] Speaker D: They did. [00:28:06] Speaker F: They did. It was a phenomenal background noise for, like, a fight montage. [00:28:09] Speaker C: All right, well, last time, we went over the different colors of the Weezer albums this time. Christian, you got any ideas? You've been on wizardia lately? [00:28:18] Speaker E: Oh. [00:28:19] Speaker F: Have I been on Wizardpedia? [00:28:20] Speaker C: I was actually checking it earlier. They did not. Wizardia has not been updating. It was the same thing as it was, like, two weeks ago. [00:28:28] Speaker F: Yeah, it is. Well, we have an on this day. [00:28:32] Speaker C: On this day. Let's get a fun Weezer effectoid in. [00:28:36] Speaker F: The year of Orlord, 2005. Today. It was the first day of the video shoot for Perfect Situation. Also, in 2017, the single Happy Hour premiered on Beats One on Apple Music. [00:28:48] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:28:48] Speaker C: Well, that's a great job, Weezer. [00:28:51] Speaker F: Wonderful as always. Great job, Weezer. [00:28:53] Speaker C: Weezer doing the Lord's work out there. [00:28:55] Speaker F: Indeed. [00:28:56] Speaker C: Well, one of my favorite Weezer moments was when a few years ago, they released that album and it was all covers, right? Yeah, they had, like, the vote for which song they do, and everybody on the Internet was like, oh, we need Africa. But we've all heard africa by Weezer, many, many times. So I was thinking today we might play a different Weezer teal album song. Another one of their excellent, amazing teal album covers from the 80s. [00:29:21] Speaker F: Just like from the 80s. [00:29:22] Speaker C: This is take on me by weezer. [00:29:34] Speaker D: Water. [00:29:39] Speaker A: W V UA FM tuscaloosa. [00:29:54] Speaker C: With take on me on 90.7 the capstone It's the morning show. [00:30:01] Speaker F: Weezer. I hardly know her. [00:30:02] Speaker D: Ha. [00:30:03] Speaker C: Hey, happy Wednesday, everybody. So Christian and I, I'm pretty sure we had a pretty incredible weekend. A lot of things happening. It's alumni week. It's homecoming week. Of course, we had the football game where the Crimson Tide destroyed the Hogs rotide 24 to 20. It sounds close. It was not as close as that, I can promise you. [00:30:27] Speaker F: Indeed. [00:30:27] Speaker C: Yes. [00:30:28] Speaker F: Well, you just had to be there. [00:30:29] Speaker C: But after that, the very next day, I went to yet another football game, this time an NFL football game. The Commanders versus the Falcons in Atlanta. [00:30:40] Speaker F: Indeed. Go Commies. [00:30:41] Speaker C: Go Commies. You see, I'm a huge commies fan. Washington commanders, that is. [00:30:45] Speaker F: This man's a 100% commie. You can write that down. [00:30:49] Speaker C: Yes, it's true. Well, yeah, I had my Commanders jersey. I was going into enemy territory with my friends who were all Falcons fans. And let me just say, when the Commanders won on the Desmond Ritter interception, it was just spectacular. What can I say? Amazing experience. Got to rub it in their face for the next few hours. So that was fun. Went to go get some hot dogs afterwards and yeah, Atlanta Falcon Stadium. Very nice place. It's like state of the art. You should go there. It's worth going to experience the stadium. Yeah. [00:31:25] Speaker F: Very nice. [00:31:26] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:31:27] Speaker C: Christian, what about your weekend? [00:31:28] Speaker F: You do anything for so yesterday, Tuesday, if you will, I went and saw some of my friends, my pals Morgan and Liesl, in a dance show in Alabama, I believe. Repertory dance and theater. Ardt. We just call it ardt? It's a really great show. It's happening this week, actually, so we'll see if we can put it on the calendar for events. That's also an event happening this week. But it was a lot of fun. I'm not going to spoil it, but it was really interesting. There was some avant garde stuff in there. I liked it. Everybody really killed it. I was quite impressed. [00:31:59] Speaker C: I believe I went there last year. [00:32:01] Speaker F: You did? [00:32:01] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:32:01] Speaker F: No, I remember sitting with you once last year. [00:32:03] Speaker C: Yes, that's right. [00:32:04] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:32:06] Speaker F: Everybody, if you can it's a good time. They're going through Friday at night. I believe it's 730 every night. I know it was last night. Yeah, it'll be a good time. So if you all like dance, there you go. I enjoyed it. [00:32:20] Speaker C: Yeah, well oh, we have an update on the Spleen situation. Somebody didn't call and they texted in. [00:32:26] Speaker F: Yeah, the line was messed up, apparently. Anyway, technical difficulties, folks. They said, and I quote, the Spleen was irreparable. [00:32:33] Speaker D: It. [00:32:33] Speaker F: Is now in the biohazard bag. They also requested a song. [00:32:37] Speaker C: Oh, yes, that's right. What song was requested, Mr. Mark? [00:32:39] Speaker F: It was cashmere by Led Zeppelin. [00:32:42] Speaker C: Oh, a great song. [00:32:44] Speaker F: Let's play graffiti. [00:32:55] Speaker D: Eight. [00:32:58] Speaker A: W v uafm. Tuscaloosa. [00:33:13] Speaker C: Myers with let me breathe on 90.7 the capstone. It's John F. Kennedy. [00:33:20] Speaker F: And this is his opponent in 1960, tricky Dick Nixon on your favorite segment impression Wallage. And here is my ambassador of the United Nations, george H. W. Bush. Not going to die. Wouldn't be prudent at this juncture. [00:33:44] Speaker C: Oh, shut up, you two. We know I'm the most popular president of the 20th century because I got assassinated before I could do anything bad. [00:33:54] Speaker F: Now, quite frankly, I did not get assassinated, but I am cool. You can't play the saxophone like Slick Willie. Clinton KJFK. You can't. [00:34:09] Speaker C: Well, I don't have any more president impressions. [00:34:13] Speaker F: Let me see. I might pull out a w now. [00:34:15] Speaker C: A w impression. [00:34:17] Speaker F: No. Not my fellow Americans. It's been seen in the people of America's gathering together that this just sounds kind of like a Bill Clinton now that think about it. It's not the greatest, but I'm w. You heard my diddy earlier. You heard me. Now, don't misunderstimate me. [00:34:38] Speaker C: Well, I feel like I could do a decent Donald Trump. Well, no, that was quite frankly quite frankly. [00:34:44] Speaker F: Quite frankly. I do the best trump. No one's ever done a better Trump than me, quite frankly. Okay, now, little Marco. [00:34:51] Speaker C: Water. [00:34:52] Speaker D: Water. [00:34:52] Speaker B: I need Little Richard. [00:34:54] Speaker F: Little Richard, not to be confused with the artist. Could never do as good of a Trump impression. [00:34:59] Speaker C: Yeah, all right. Anyway, well, we're wrapping up of the morning show today. We are rapidly approaching the 10:00 hour. Thank you all for listening in. But, Christian, is there anything else that you'd like to discuss before we sign off for the day? [00:35:15] Speaker F: It's something going on in the future that's fun. [00:35:20] Speaker C: Some film production going on between Mr. Richard Jenkins and Mr. Christian Martin. We're working on a courtroom comedy film which should be featuring music. [00:35:31] Speaker F: It's a comedy with music, not a musical comedy, though. There's a difference. [00:35:34] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:35:34] Speaker C: Let's hope it ends up being pretty dang good, but I think it will with the amazing actor Christian Martin. Christian, tell us about your character. [00:35:42] Speaker F: I'm playing mayor. Scarlett leviticus Beauregard II the mayor of the fine town of Fair Bend, Alabama. [00:35:52] Speaker C: Yes, sir. Christian's going to be yeah, he's going to do an amazing role. He's one of our main characters, and I think he will be quite impressive. [00:36:01] Speaker F: But indeed, it's exciting. Very exciting. [00:36:03] Speaker C: Yeah, we'll keep you posted on that. There should be some funny stories coming out from that. [00:36:07] Speaker F: Yeah, we should have a fun story next week about how auditions go Friday. [00:36:11] Speaker C: Oh, yeah, we had some pretty good auditions this Tuesday, I think. A lot of cool people, a lot. [00:36:19] Speaker F: Of fun stuff people. [00:36:22] Speaker C: If you're listening in and if you work at the law school, please let us use one of your classrooms, Indeed. [00:36:28] Speaker F: And if you happen to be at gorgus, anywhere from 1230 to 330, specifically room 2016, then you should probably give us a visit if you happen to be there. But if not, it's okay. [00:36:40] Speaker C: Yeah, you don't have to go. [00:36:43] Speaker F: Yeah, I know. We're not going to anyway. [00:36:44] Speaker C: Well, yeah, that's pretty much it from us for today. Thank you all for listening to Indeed, the morning show on 90.7, the Capstone. [00:36:51] Speaker F: You've been wonderful listeners. Now, to quote The Sound of Music Alfita Zane. Goodbye. [00:36:58] Speaker C: We'll catch you next week. Here's. Blab Sabbath lathe of Montreal. [00:37:05] Speaker F: Take old Pony board. Tuscaloosa.
